Commitment to Privacy
Convergys intends to give you as much control as possible over any personal information. We are committed to protecting your personal privacy.
Anonymity and Confidentiality
Convergys works to avoid intruding unnecessarily on the privacy of Internet respondents. Convergys will safeguard the anonymity of respondents unless they have given their informed consent to be identified. Convergys will not identify to third parties, including its clients, that a set of survey responses is yours unless you expressly request or permit such disclosure.
A minimal amount of respondent-identifiable information may be disclosed to the client to permit the client to validate survey responses and/or conduct analyses of survey findings (i.e. appending the client's own database information to the survey research file for analysis).
For targeted research surveys, clients may provide us with lists of people, such as their customers or employees, to invite their survey participation. Convergys also sends survey participation invitations to samples of individuals who have expressed a willingness to participate in research surveys or receive emails related to topics relevant to the research objectives of a particular project.
Convergys will use email addresses for no other purpose besides survey research and will not send messages online to respondents who have indicated that they do not wish to receive any such messages relating to a research project or to any follow-up research resulting directly from it. Convergys also works to reduce any inconvenience or irritation such email might cause to the recipients by clearly stating its purpose in the subject heading and keeping the total message as brief as possible.
Sometimes Convergys will request email information (as well as name, address, and telephone information) from you so that we can re-contact you for the sake of the further research investigation in which you have indicated an interest. We will not sell, lease or trade your e-mail address for purposes other than for any research in which you agree to participate.
Your cooperation is at all times voluntary. When we request your participation, you will have the opportunity to decline or ignore our request. Additionally, at all points throughout the survey process, you may leave our survey site and not return, thus eliminating your data from our reported results of complete interviews.
Convergys also offers the ability to opt out of receiving survey invitations if you prefer not to receive invitations specific to our Research surveys.
On occasion, to prevent biased responses, the purpose of the research may not be fully disclosed at the beginning of the questionnaire. Convergys will not, however, make any deceptive statements that would mislead you about the nature of the research or the uses that will be made of the findings. Statements about the likely length of the interview are based on Convergys' best estimates of the average time it will take respondents to complete surveys.
Convergys takes precautions to protect the security of all of its data. All information provided by you is protected against unauthorized access. We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect.
